American Home Companion, Inc. was created in 1999 with the goal of providing quality health care management in the fields of Home Health Care, Home Nursing, and Personal Care services ...

Since then, our highly motivated, diverse management team has expanded to other areas of the Health Care industry. We have provided management services for Nevada Medicaid programs such as the Personal Care Services (PCS), Waiver for Independent Nevadans (WIN), Supported Living Arrangements (SLA), and Personal Assistance Services (PAS) programs. American Home Companion, Inc. has also administrated Federal contracts for the supply of medical equipment and the rendering of respiratory services for Medicare recipients in the state of Nevada. We have accomplished said feats with an impeccable track-record while successfully managing increasing costs, lower reimbursements, and coping with ever changing state regulations and federal mandates.

Along our journey, we have experienced many milestones, including the opening of our three satellite offices in the northern Nevada area, securing several private and state contracts, as well as being awarded exclusive licenses to provide services in the rural parts of the state. This steady, conservative growth and the successes we have enjoyed thus far demonstrate our innate ability to plan for and deliver quality care to our customers.

We also realize that the number one concern in our industry is customer care and satisfaction, and it is in this area that we outperform all others. Our ability to run everything locally puts us in a unique position to better serve our customers. Our upper management and corporate officers are local, rooted Nevadans, with many years of active participation in the community, who can better relate to the region’s financial and social dynamics

Carlos L. Bonilla


Mr. Bonilla has been with American Home Companion since 2000. He has proven to be a valuable asset, helping our Agency grow to the successful company that it is today and become one of the largest Personal Care Agencies in the state of Nevada. Mr. Bonilla’s field of study is in business administration and criminal justice. With over fifteen years of business management experience and twenty years of impressive law enforcement experience to his name, Mr. Bonilla has earned many awards for his distinguished service. Passionate about issues in the community, he has taken on the role of liaison between the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Hispanic Media. He is also an advisor to the Washoe County’s Sheriff on Hispanic Issues.


Sandra Carstarphen

Executive Vice-President

With a twenty-five-year history in counseling, our Executive Vice-President has vast knowledge and experience in varied psychologist and counseling environments. Mrs. Carstarphen’s specialty is in psychopedagogical studies in adolescents and young adults. She has also provided vocational guidance and participated in educational research projects. With her understanding of diverse cultures and her experience in counseling, implementing and supervising the application of Medicare and Medicaid requirements, Mrs. Carstarphen has relevant healthcare management experience that makes her a valuable asset to our agency.


Miguel Montero

General manager

Mr. Montero’s experience is in the field of Health Care and HIPPA technical compliance. With Information Technology and network engineering educational backgrounds, Mr. Montero is able fully understand the complexities of the Health Care technical environments. Working as a software consultant for several companies before American Home Companion, Mr. Montero gained experience in the field of Medical electronic compliance and electronic HIPPA requirements. Under his own company, Mr. Montero has aided several companies in developing cost-efficient, modern networks to meet outgoing demands of the health care industry.


Elizabeth Hughes

Carson City Office Manager

Since joining us in 2015, Mrs. Hughes has been an invaluable asset to American Home Companion and an integral part of our recent community outreach efforts in the Carson City area. Having served in many different healthcare-related positions, most recently in the field of Durable Medical Equipment, Mrs. Hughes experience is highly relevant to the home healthcare industry. While her qualifications and experience caught our eye, it is her overriding drive to deliver quality care that earned her a management spot in our company.


Amanda LeClaire

In her short time with our Agency, Amanda LeClaire has made a profound difference to our clients in the Elko and outlined areas of Northern Nevada. Mrs. LeClaire has worked very hard to increase our outreach efforts in the community and to provide much needed assistance and guidance to state benefit recipients in her territory. Her relentless efforts and work ethic has catapulted her branch to a whole new level in care delivery standards.
