3/12/2018 | PCS | Attention Personal Care
Attendants: Nevada Medicaid is now requiring
that all PCA’s obtain a National Provider
Identifier (NPI). This is the first step on a
series of changes Nevada Medicaid is
implementing for next year. The process of
obtaining an NPI is relatively simple and free
of charge. Simply call the National Plan and
Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) at
800-465-3203 or go to https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov and follow the instructions provided to create a new account. You will then receive a letter in the mail with your NPI (this may take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks). Please bring/fax the letter to the office by May 31st, 2018 so we can make a copy of it and update your personnel record. Once again, this process is mandatory and please note that failure to obtain an NPI by the deadline above may result in delayed compensation for your services. |

11/25/2017 | PCS | Effectively immediately, all Personal Care Attendants must indicate on the Client Verification Logs (time cards), whether or not their clients were in the hospital during the current period. The Client Verification Log has been updated to reflect this change and now has a checkbox that must be checked if the client was in the hospital, emergency room, or other type of medical facility during the relevant period. |
1/12/2017 | SLA | A quick reminder that Personal Instructors are required to submit vehicle registration/insurance information to the office in order to remain compliant with the agency. Thank you for your cooperation. |
